Mardi Gras collection, 1952-1966.

Collection consists of several albums containing professional photographs depicting Junior League members modeling costumes representing companies which sponsored the ball; other black and white and color photographs show guests, performances, processions, the awarding of titles, costumed pageant, and the dance floor. Photographs particularly emphasize ball gowns worn by the guests. Some of the photographs are identified. Scrapbooks contain news clippings providing publicity about the ball, letters of congratulations, programs, and material geared toward companies to sponsor the Mardi Gras. Other material includes video tapes of the 1952, 1953, 1959, and 1963 balls; and reservation tickets for guests of the 1964 affair.
